Artist’s Bio

Although he has shown extensively throughout the country and been included in group shows in the city, this is Professor Terry Towery's first major solo exhibition in NYC.

Assistant Professor Terry Towery has exhibited widely at such institutions as the Silicon Gallery in Philadelphia, Central Fine Arts SoHo, the Florida Museum of Fine Arts, the Center for Exploratory and Perceptual Art (CEPA), The Campos Photography Center, Mississippi State University, University of Northern Iowa, University of Nebraska, The Appleton Art Center, Lehman College CUNY, and many others.

He is currently an Assistant Professor of art at Lehman College of the City University of New York and a member of the faculty at Parsons School of Design. He has taught at The University of Florida, Parsons School of Design (in both the MFA in Design and Technology and the Photography departments), FIT/SUNY, Brooklyn College/CUNY, The New School Media Studies program and the County College of Morris.

Professor Towery received his MFA from the University of Florida in 1989 and his baccalaureate degree from Florida State University in 1985. He also did post bacc study at the London Study Center.

He tries to make art everyday.
